Below is another Sean Phillips moped scene (just here because I really like the drawing). For even more moped action see the Criminal Pencils post below on this blog (10.11.09). The pencil sketch is so small, but so perfectly formed and expressive (it also can be seen if you click on the sketch above).
I think Sean thought the request for a moped drawing was odd – there are so many other people you could draw from Criminal- but I think drawing something slightly detached like this (not a close up, but with helmets, clothes, background, vehicles, potentially distracting detail) gives an opportunity for subtlety to show. If you don’t agree, try drawing them and see for yourself.
