My name is Alison Sampson.
I'm an architect working in the UK.
I build dreams. I draw a lot.
This is a look for the space
between the lines,
the nearly real,
for paper worlds
and possibilities;
escapes from reality
and dreams

The mass art/ multimedia show, Ghosts of Gone Birds, featuring a number of the finest poets, painters, sculptors, illustrators and musicians, in the land, has found a roost. The work can be seen from the 2nd to the 23rd November at the Rochelle School in London’s East End. Each artist chose a bird that had been made extinct to record, to publicise the loss of bird species around the world. The work looks exquisite: this is obviously a tiny sample of what will be there. Visit this, review this, tell your friends. It is perhaps one of the most accessible art shows you could go to. Despite being, to an extent, about death.
The two images belwo are not facebook ones and have all the details and directions, if you click..

The last link explains what this is all for, just click on the image above.
FeltMistress, maker of the magnificent Hoopoe at the top of the page and below notes:
*** a friend had a sneaky look tonight and said its one of the best shows he’s seen for a while.***

Note:Â Today, 0n 11/11/05, The cash box for sales of prints, from this exhibition, was stolen from the Rochelle School. For the sake of a worthwhile charity, maybe head down there tomorrow, or click on the link here, below to maybe help them make that up? The painting here, is by the young illustrator, Jack Teagle, and it is also part of the show.
